Alex Capshaw-Taylor brings 10 years of teaching experience to her technique and project based knitting classes. Classes are available for all levels and are differentiated to reach all styles of learners. Alex cultivates a safe, supportive learning environment and encourages knitters to have the confidence to take the next step in their knitting.
Alex’s travel experience brings a unique perspective to lectures and classes on cultural knitting techniques and often include travel tips and in country photos on the culture being covered.
Alex graduated with a degree in history and secondary education in 2004 from Mary Washington College. She received her Masters of Education with a specialization in School Library Media in 2007 from Longwood University. In 2010 she left a career as a middle school librarian to pursue knitwear design and instruction full time.
